All the interviews for the Between the Pages Podcast are live streamed on TikTok. On social media, engagement snowballs, so the more people who watch, the more people who will be invited to watch. If you’re looking to grow the audience and engagement for your interview, here are a few ideas to help spread the word.
Make an announcement video
The week before your interview, make a video telling your followers the day and time you’re scheduled with the Between the Pages Podcast. It doesn’t hurt to add a little about your book or the genre you write, and don’t forget to tag Shawn Amick so your followers know to look for him! Recommended length: less than 30 seconds.
Share the podcast’s schedule post to your story
The week of your interview, Megan G. Mossgrove will post a schedule, tagging you on the date and time you're scheduled. You can share this post, by reposting or sharing to your story.
Make a quick video the day of
Just before your interview, make a quick video saying you’re going live with the Between the Pages Podcast and ask others to spread the word. In theory, it will circulate while you’re interviewing, and your little profile icon will blink, indicating you’re currently live. You can delete this video after the interview is over, if you’re worried about it staying on your feed. Recommended length: less than 15 seconds.
Share the link to the live while you’re in the chat
Once the podcast actually starts, there will be some time while you’re waiting in the chat for Shawn to invite you up. This is a great time to share the live directly to family and friends who want to support you!
Share the link
When your interview becomes available on Spotify, you can put the link in your newsletter, your website, or your linktree. You can also share it with friends or to other social media sites. The possibilities are endless!
Bonus! Other social media
It's always good to cross post to draw as much attention as you can. I recommend sharing these videos (or picture posts with the same information if you prefer) to your Facebook, Instagram, etc. with links that direct followers to TikTok. Instagram lets you share a link through your story, so share a link to your profile with the time you plan to be live.
Can't wait to see you there!
